Wildcats x EITF European Championships

We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news from Wildcats Combat.

This April, three of our students and instructors will be representing England at the EITF European Championships in Crete, Greece. To be selected for an international championship is a huge honour, and it reflects the countless hours of training, the discipline behind the scenes, and the standard they bring to the mats every single week.

Meet the Team Heading to Crete

Charles (III Dan Black Belt)
Our Senior Instructor, Charles leads from the front every day, setting the tone with professionalism, consistency, and a calm confidence that lifts everyone around him. Being selected to represent England is a brilliant recognition of the work he’s put in, both as a competitor and as a leader within our Academy.

Izaac (II Dan Black Belt)
As our Assistant Instructor, Izaac brings energy, focus, and real attention to detail in training. He’s earned his place through commitment and performance, and we can’t wait to see him step onto the European stage and show what Wildcats Combat is all about.

Tristan (Red Belt)
Tristan’s selection is a massive achievement, especially at red belt level. His progress has been built on determination and consistency, and this is a brilliant example of what happens when you keep showing up, working hard, and trusting the process.

What This Means for Our Academy

Having three members selected to represent England is a moment of real pride for our Wildcats Combat community. It’s also a reminder to every student that with commitment, strong coaching, and the right environment, big opportunities can happen, no matter where you’re starting from.

As April approaches, we’ll be supporting the team with focused preparation and plenty of encouragement. We know they’ll represent England, and Wildcats Combat, with skill, respect, and the right mindset.

Let’s all get behind them as they head to Crete. The journey is just as important as the medals, and we’re honoured to be part of it.

Wildcats x Belgium

On 7th February, our Wildcats Combat team travelled to Mechelen, Belgium for the Flanders Field competition, and what a weekend it was.

Yes, there were medals, memorable performances, and plenty of proud moments on the mats, but what really stood out was the sense of togetherness. This trip was a brilliant reminder that Wildcats Combat is more than a martial arts academy. It’s a community.

A Trip Built on Teamwork

One of the highlights came before we even stepped into the venue.

Students and families came together for a pre-competition meal, sharing food, laughs, and a few nerves as everyone got themselves in the right mindset for the day ahead. It’s those small moments that make a huge difference, especially for younger competitors. Knowing you’ve got your team around you brings confidence you can’t fake.

Bonding Beyond the Mats

After the hard work, we made time for what matters too.

We enjoyed proper team bonding at the go-kart track, cheering each other on, getting competitive in the best way, and building friendships that go far beyond training sessions. For many of the students, this was just as important as the competition itself. Shared experiences like these create a stronger team, and you could feel it.

And of course, while the students were building memories, some of the parents got in on the action too. The dads found a darts board, and let’s just say the competition continued well into the evening, with plenty of banter and a lot of laughter.

Pride in Every Performance

We’re incredibly proud of how our students represented Wildcats Combat in Belgium. Whether it was someone competing internationally for the first time, stepping up a level, or simply showing improved composure and courage, the progress was clear.

Competition days test more than technique. They test character. And our students showed exactly what we train for: focus, respect, resilience, and heart.
